22-year-old has emerged as one of the top starters in the
National League, with a 1.54 ERA and 17 strikeouts.

Adam Dunn, LF, Reds In the off-season he worked hard on hitting
to the opposite field, and it has paid off: A career .241 hitter
entering this season, Dunn was batting .327 with eight home runs.

DOWN

Toronto power hitters First baseman Carlos Delgado, centerfielder
Vernon Wells and DH Josh Phelps combined for 95 home runs and a
.538 slugging percentage last season, but through Sunday the trio
had collectively hit five homers and had a .392 slugging
percentage.

Morgan Ensberg, 3B, Astros After hitting 25 homers in 2003, he
was mired in a 8-for-48 slump, had no dingers and was platooning
with Mike Lamb.

Barry Bonds's supporting cast The Giants minus Bonds (.512, nine
home runs) were hitting a collective .220 with eight homers. They
also ranked 26th in the majors in runs scored with 3.7 per game.
