Cinematic Bogey

Jim Caviezel, the star of The Passion of the Christ, performs a
miracle in Bobby Jones: Stroke of Genius. He transforms a
complex man into a one-dimensional movie character. Caviezel
portrays Jones as angry and emotionally detached, especially
from his wife, Mary (Claire Forlani). It's a shame, because
Jones's story is compelling. Although he played only part time
(he was pursuing a master's in English literature from Harvard
and a law degree from Emory), he became the only man to win the
Grand Slam. Jones gave up his career at the age of 28 to
practice law and build Augusta National. It's quite a tale, but
sadly, this film misses the cut.
