Wrestling brothers from Great Falls, Bill was the 1996 NCAA champ
for Iowa at 142 pounds and Mike was a three-time All-America at
the same school; each won four state high school titles.
6 Ryan Leaf
The Great Falls quarterback led Washington State to the 1998 Rose
Bowl. He was the second pick in the '98 NFL draft.
7 Robin Selvig
This season the Montana Lady Griz basketball coach from Outlook
got his 600th Division I victory.
8 Barry Anderson
The Miles City gymnast, clad in a bear costume as UM's Monte, was
named Capital One's mascot of the year in 2003.
9 Colstrip
The town of 2,300 is Montana's SI Sportstown for having the best
community sports programs.
10 Crow Indian Reservation
The tribe has produced state high school hoops standouts such as
Larry Pretty Weasel, Jonathan Takes Enemy and Elvis Old Bull.
11 Brent Musberger
The longtime broadcaster and former NFL Today host grew up in
Billings.
12 Dan Mortensen
In December the Billings cowboy won his record-tying sixth World
Saddle Bronc title.
13 Thomas McGuane
The novelist and outdoor writer from Michigan lives on his ranch
in Sweet Grass County.
14 Levi Leipheimer
The Butte cyclist, competing for the Dutch team Rabobank,
finished eighth in the 2002 Tour de France.
15 Sonny Holland
The lineman from Butte was a three-time All-America at Montana
State and coached his alma mater to a Division II national
championship.
16 Carroll College
The Fighting Saints from Helena have claimed back-to-back NAIA
football titles.

17 Washington-Grizzly Stadium
The listed capacity is 23,117, but an average of 23,352 fans
squeezed in to watch the Division I-AA Montana Grizzlies play
last fall. The team is 110-16 (.872) at the Missoula stadium
since it opened in 1986.
18 U.S. High Altitude Sports Center
Located in Butte, the outdoor training rink for speed skaters is
5,500 feet above sea level.
19 Eric Bergoust
The Missoula aerial skier and three-time Olympian won a gold
medal in 1998.
20 Adventure Cycling Association
Missoula is home to the organization that promotes and provides
maps and other resources for travel by bicycle.
21 Norman Maclean
The author of the fly-fishing novella A River Runs Through It
grew up in Missoula.
22 Tanner Hall
The Kalispell native has won four gold medals in slopestyle
skiing at the X Games.
