In case you were wondering why some of the athletes and officials marching in the Parade of Nations looked so somber last Friday night, the answer is that as many as 300 of them actually were undercover security officers. "We were soaking in the moment," one U.S. athlete said, "and we had two security guys soaking in everything else. It's sad that it has come to that, but I'm glad they're here." --Don Yaeger
