She Hate Me

The U.S. and Australian women's basketball teams appear to be barreling toward a rematch of their 2000 gold medal game in Sydney. That final gave the rivalry between Yank Lisa Leslie (inset) and Aussie Lauren Jackson, the WNBA's two best centers, its defining moment when Jackson pulled out Leslie's hair extension at the end of the game. Leslie lost her piece, but she won the gold.

"I've seen them battle a lot in the WNBA, and it's always very heated,"says Sue Bird, a Seattle Storm teammate of Jackson's and a U.S. teammate of Leslie's. "I don't know if they even say hello when they walk by each other." --Kelli Anderson
