Backfield Woes Mount in Miami

DOLPHINS' RUN GAME

How bad has it gotten in Miami? The Dolphins would prefer to run the ball, but they're already down to their fifth running back. Ricky Williams retired, and Travis Minor (ankle), Sammy Morris (ankle) and recently acquired Lamar Gordon (shoulder) are hurt.

Leonard Henry, a seventh-round draft choice in 2002 out of East Carolina, replaced the fallen Gordon. Signed to the team's practice squad after being waived in the preseason, Henry was put on the active roster after the rash of injuries. He got his first NFL carry in the first quarter on Sunday and finished with 41 yards on 21 attempts in a 13--3 loss to the Steelers.
