The Questions with Ray Buchanan

Raiders Cornerback

What was your welcome-to-the-NFL moment?

"When I walked into my first OTA--organized team activity--and saw all of those players. Running out on the field the first time was the icing."

Most embarrassing moment?

"When Patrick Johnson [of the Ravens] caught a touchdown pass on me in 1999. I was lying on the ground, and he started doing the dirty bird dance over me. I lost it--I jumped up and picked him up and body-slammed him. Of course, I got ejected and fined."

Favorite off-day activity?

"I love bowling. I average, like, 180. On Tuesdays during the season I get my brothers and go roll."

If I weren't in the NFL, I'd be ...

"On TV. Commentating. I am definitely going to do that after I retire."

Last Week

Four days after turning 33, Buchanan made seven tackles in a loss to Houston.

This Week

The Raiders go to Indianapolis, where Buchanan played from 1993 to '96 and led the team with eight interceptions in '94.
