SATURDAY 16

Navy vs. Notre Dame CBS Noon | The last time the Middies beat the Irish, in 1963, Roger Staubach was their QB. Wisconsin at Purdue ESPN2 5:30 p.m. | The Boilermakers, led by QB Kyle Orton, have the No. 3 offense in the country; the Badgers have the top-ranked D.

SUNDAY 17

MetroStars at D.C. United ESPN2 5 p.m. | Phenom Freddy Adu, who is third on United with five goals, wraps up his rookie season. Panthers at Eagles FOX 1 p.m. | Philly QB Donovan McNabb will be hungry for revenge in a rematch of last season's NFC title game.

MONDAY 18

Buccaneers at Rams ABC 9 p.m. | Why is Jon Gruden scowling even more than usual? The maligned Tampa Bay coach is 1--4, and tonight he faces an offense that put 23 points on the board in the final 8:36 on Sunday to hand Seattle its first loss of the season.

TUESDAY 19

Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel HBO 10 p.m. | The first of a two-part feature on the oldest sport in the Middle East: camel racing. The 1,500-pound beasts are ridden by child jockeys, who are traded like slaves and subjected to torture and starvation.

WEDNESDAY 20

Happy Birthday! | Former defensive lineman Lee Roy Selmon turns 50. The only Buccaneer in the Hall of Fame recently stepped down as AD at South Florida. Late Show with David Letterman CBS 11:35 p.m. | IRL champ Tony Kanaan talks about winning the title.

THURSDAY 21

Warriors at Lakers FSW 10:30 p.m. | Derek Fisher, who played in L.A. for eight years, faces former teammate Kobe Bryant in a preseason matchup. Last week Kobe said of the new-look Lakers, "This is my team to lead. Shaq was the focal point. ... Now it's different."
