Three and Out

1. Florida coach Ron Zook is on thin ice. Following last Saturday's 24-21 home loss to LSU, the Gators have now lost more games at the Swamp in three seasons under Zook (six) than they did in 12 seasons under Steve Spurrier (five).

2. Virginia is a bona fide threat to win the ACC. The Cavaliers have a relentless running game, an aggressive defensive front and the one thing league competitors Miami and Florida State lack: a game-breaking quarterback, in Marques Hagans.

3. Utah could sneak into the BCS. The Fiesta Bowl, intrigued by the attention the Utes might generate--by becoming the first non-BCS school to play in a BCS bowl--is the likely destination if the No. 11 Utes (5-0) finish undefeated. --Stewart Mandel
