The Questions with Brock Marion

Lions Safety

What was your welcome-to-the-NFL moment?

"It was a preseason game in Texas Stadium, my rookie year. I'm back returning a kickoff, swaying back and forth, thinking. I look up on the JumboTron, and I see this 'Marion 31.' It kind of shocked me. I'm like, 'That's me. This is what it's all about.'"

Most embarrassing moment?

"A lot of our embarrassment comes from plays we don't make. But the most embarrassing thing would be, as a rookie I was taped to a goalpost a couple of times."

Favorite off-day activity?

"Working in my yard. I'm a big landscaping guy. I love to work in my yard. It's tranquil. You can be to yourself."

If I weren't in the NFL, I'd be ...

"Oh, goodness. I don't know. I guess the only thing I do know is football. And I know I'd be with my wife and kids."

Last Week

Marion, 34, who has four girls and two boys with his wife, Keri, had seven tackles in Detroit's 38-10 home loss to Green Bay.

This Week

The Lions go to Giants Stadium, where, as a Dolphin last year, Marion had five tackles and an interception.
