Pavelid Castañeda

Pavelid, a senior forward at Babylon High, scored his fourth hat trick of the season in a 6-0 win over Hampton Bays. The 2003 League VII MVP leads the 10-2 Panthers with 26 goals, making this his second straight 20-goal season.
Richie Williams

Williams, a junior quarterback at Division 1-AA Appalachian State, completed 40 of 45 passes for 413 yards and ran for the game-winning touchdown in a 30-29 win over Furman. He set NCAA records (all divisions) for completion percentage (88.9) and consecutive completions (28).
Mallory Blackwelder

Mallory, a senior at Woodford County High, won the Kentucky girls' high school golf championship at the Bowling Green Country Club by 10 strokes. She is the daughter of former LPGA player Myra Van Hoose Blackwelder.
Erin Falce
DUNCANSVILLE, PA. > Soccer
Falce, a sophomore forward at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, had three goals in two games, helping the 14-3 Indians to the top of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West standings. She has a school-record 27 goals and 62 points this season.
Tom Heath
SPRING LAKE, N.J. > Cross-Country
Heath, 56, the cross-country coach at Christian Brothers Academy since 1970, has a 299-7 dual-meet record, 19 New Jersey group titles and a state-record 13 AllGroup championships. His Colts hold the national record for consecutive dual-meet wins (268).
