The Questions with Quincy Carter/Jets Quarterback

What was your welcome-to-the-NFL moment? "When I got sandwiched by Derrick Brooks and Warren Sapp in my first NFL start, against Tampa Bay back in 2001."

Most embarrassing moment? "Let's skip that one."

Favorite off-day activity? "Talking to my kids and my mom. In the NFL we're surrounded by football all week long, but just to get that off day and enjoy someone else's life and not just what you're doing is enjoyable to me."

If I weren't in the NFL, I'd be ... "A coach at my high school [Southwest DeKalb in Decatur, Ga.], working on my second or third state championship."

Last Week

Carter, who was picked up by the Jets in August after Dallas released him amid reports he had failed a drug test, was the backup to Chad Pennington against the Patriots.

This Week

The Jets play the Dolphins, against whom Carter threw for 288 yards and two TDs in a Cowboys loss last year.
