Three and Out

1 Missouri has been the biggest flop of the season. Vaunted quarterback Brad Smith, a 1,400-yard rusher last year, has become a nonfactor in coach Gary Pinkel's conservative offense, and the Tigers, a preseason Top 20 team, have lost five straight games.

2 Please, BCS commissioners, do whatever it takes to make sure Utah plays a similarly ranked team in its bowl game. Fans would love to see how the Utes' high-powered offense fares against an Oklahoma or Auburn, but Utah might get stuck facing Boston College.

3 No one should be more scared of Urban Meyer's possibly going to Florida than Florida State's Bobby Bowden. While Meyer is known for offensive wizardry, the Noles' offense has become an embarrassment under Bowden's son Jeff. --Stewart Mandel
