Reverse of the Curse of the Bambino HBO 8 p.m. | The curse is over, but the influx of documentaries has just begun. This 2003 film, narrated by Ben Affleck, has a new title (the first two words were added) and has been updated to include Boston's first World Series win in 86 years.

SATURDAY 11

Vitali Klitschko vs. Danny Williams HBO Pay-Per-View 9 p.m. | Klitschko (34--2, 33 KOs) makes his first WBC heavyweight title defense. In Stores 3: The Dale Earnhardt Story | The new book coincides with the premiere of 3, starring Barry Pepper, on ESPN at 9 p.m.

SUNDAY 12

Colts at Texans CBS 1 p.m. | Is today the day? Indy QB Peyton Manning is within four of future Hall of Famer Dan Marino's record of 48 TD passes in a season. College Cup ESPN2 4 p.m. | The NCAA men's soccer champ is crowned at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.

MONDAY 13

SportsCentury: Joe Namath ESPN Classic 8 p.m. Broadway Joe was charismatic on the field (he was the first QB to pass for 4,000 yards, and he pulled the sport's most memorable upset in Super Bowl III) as well as off it ("I like my Johnnie Walker Red and my women blonde").

TUESDAY 14

Wyndham New Orleans Bowl ESPN 7:30 p.m. | The first of the season's 28 bowls: Southern Miss takes on North Texas. | Women's basketball, No. 1 LSU at Minnesota ESPN2 7 p.m. | Freshman Sylvia Fowles is averaging 13.0 points and 9.8 rebounds for the Lady Tigers.

WEDNESDAY 15

Jazz at Suns ESPN 10:30 p.m. | Jazz point guard--and Olympic star--Carlos Arroyo will have his hands full with Steve Nash (page 66), whose shooting (56.0% from the floor) and passing (a league-best 10.9 assists per game) have the run-and-gun Suns atop the Pacific Division.

THURSDAY 16

NXL Paintball World Cup ESPN2 6 p.m. | Remember Disney's Wonderful World of Color? More than 3,000 paintballers in three divisions--five-man, 10-man and XBall, which has a hockey-style penalty box--descended on Disney World in October for the weeklong competition.
