The Questions with Santana Moss

Jets Receiver

What was your welcome-to-the-NFL moment? My first game the defense was yelling, 'Watch 83! Watch on this! Watch on that!' I was like, I haven't been playing, why are they worried about me? I ran a reverse, and I got crushed, like they knew we were going to run that play. That let me know that whenever I got that ball, they were going to be ready for me.

Most embarrassing moment? I guess it shouldn't have been, but getting injured so soon [he tore cartilage in his left knee as a rookie in training camp in 2001 and missed 11 games] was embarrassing to me. I didn't feel sorry for myself, I felt like I let people down. It made me hungry.

Favorite off-day activity? Playing video games. I'm not an Xbox guy; I'm a PlayStation guy. I have both, but my Xbox collects dust. If I'm not out buying video games or music, I'm at the house playing the ones I have.

If I weren't in the NFL, I'd be ... Someone special. I studied education, and I'd be doing something with that. I'd want to be coaching somewhere.

Last Week

Moss made an over-the-shoulder grab for a 47-yard TD in Jets' win over Chargers (page 46).

This Week

On Saturday the Jets play at Pittsburgh, where Moss had three catches for 37 yards in a 17--6 loss on Dec. 12.
