In Full Bloom
WHETHER TEARING up the slopes as the world's No. 1 freestyle mogul skier, modeling for Tommy Hilfiger and Abercrombie & Fitch or taking on the NCAA, Jeremy Bloom's life is full of action--and his website, www.jeremybloom.com, is no different. The site features motion graphics, sound bites from Bloom updating fans on his life on and off the slopes, music (including N.E.R.D, one of Bloom's favorite groups) and video highlights. Bloom, who won his fourth consecutive World Cup mogul event on Sunday, was a star receiver and kick returner for Colorado for two seasons before the NCAA ruled him ineligible last year for accepting endorsement money to finance his training for the 2006 Olympics. Though Bloom, 22, will concentrate on skiing, he's passionate about football (he wears a helmet painted gold with Colorado Buffaloes emblems on the sides), and the site opens to clips of him competing in both sports. "Ever since he was young, he would walk around the house with a football," says Bloom's mother, Char. "Jeremy and football [always] went together." Then there's the Eye Candy section made up of images of Bloom as a hunky, guy-next-door model. To keep it fresh Bloom changes the look of the site every six months and updates the content frequently.
