Pro Prospects

NBA scouts evaluate the potential of Arizona State forward Ike Diogu, a 6'8", 255-pound junior who at week's end was leading the Pac-10 with averages of 22.6 points, 10.1 rebounds and 2.6 blocks.

"He's probably the most relentless player in college basketball. He's got a nose for rebounding, and that's something you can't teach. Usually if you can rebound the ball well in college, you'll be a pretty good rebounder in the NBA.... His size is an issue, though. I don't think he can be a full-time three-man because he'll have to handle the ball and shoot like a guard, and that's not his game. But he's an undersized four-man.... He's a good athlete but not an insane athlete like [Memphis forward] Rodney Carney.... I think he'll be a first-round pick, but he's not going to star at the next level."
