Kim Barrett

Barrett, a senior at Miami, won the national title in the shot put and led the Hurricanes' women's team to a third-place finish at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships. She also won the Atlantic Coast Conference title with a put of 18.19 meters, the longest in the U.S. this year.
Kyle Pape
HONOLULU > Basketball
Kyle, a senior guard at Iolani High, was named tournament MVP after he led the Raiders to a record fourth straight Hawaii championship. He averaged 31 points per game for the tournament, shooting 50% from the field and 92.5% from the free throw line.
Tressa Yocum
EL PASO > Wrestling
Tressa, a senior at Eastwood High, pinned her 45th consecutive opponent this season to win her second straight 165-pound Texas girls' state championship. She was a five-time tournament MVP and has pinned all 75 of her opponents over the past two seasons.
Justin Spring
BURKE, VA. > Gymnastics
Spring, a junior at Illinois, won the all-around competition with first-place finishes on floor, high bar and parallel bar (on which he scored a career high 9.750) as the Fighting Illini beat Illinois-Chicago. Earlier this season he won a silver medal on the high bar at the American Cup.
Beth Tidmore
DECATUR, GA. > Rifle
Tidmore, a junior at Memphis, won the national title in air rifle at the National Collegiate Men's and Women's Rifle Championship in Colorado Springs. The All-America defeated Matt Rawlings, the overall national champion, and set an NCAA record with a score of 694.2.

REMSEN, N.Y.
HUNTINGTON STATION, N.Y. > Luge
Hamlin, 18, and Mortensen, 20, won the women's and men's individual titles at the U.S. Junior National Luge Championships.
