The Questions with Richard Jefferson/Nets Forward

What was your welcome-to-the-NBA moment?
The first time I put on a jersey for a preseason game [2001]. And the first time I got on a charter flight. I'm looking around the plane like, Wow, this is crazy.

Your most embarrassing moment?
One time at Madison Square Garden, which is our [the Nets] favorite place to play, I have a wide-open break, and I'm getting ready to do my windmill, and right as I go up, the ball just slips and goes out-of-bounds.

What's your favorite off-day activity?
Playing Halo, a video game that you play online. I just sit on my couch and don't leave my house for 10 hours.

If I weren't in the NBA, I'd be ...
Either a P.E. teacher or a basketball coach.

If I were commissioner for a day, I would ...
Get rid of the seven-game series in the first round. It's too long. I understand that's where the NBA makes money. But it wears us out. Let us play five.

Last Week

In his first game back after wrist surgery, Jefferson had nine points in a loss to Miami on Sunday.

This Week
