The Questions with Ben Wallace/Pistons Center
What was your welcome-to-the-NBA moment? One day at practice in my rookie year when I was with the Bullets, we were just messing around, and Chris Webber went baseline and dunked [on me]. After, he turned to me and said something like, "Maybe you'll get the next one, young fella."
What was your most embarrassing moment? [In 2000], my first year in Detroit, when we had to wear those teal uniforms and play in front of crowds of about 1,000.
What's your favorite off-day activity? Sitting around building remote-control cars. There are times I have to step away from it because they are frustrating. Some of the directions are not as plain and clear as they should be. Some of the directions are in different languages.
If I were commissioner for a day, I would ... incorporate hand checking back into the game.
