Robert de Wilde from the Netherlands took the first BMX Supercross World Cup held in Europe (Aigle, Switzerland). Riders will next compete at the world championships in Paris on July 29.

Ironman France moved its race for the first time to Nice, where Sunday's winners, Herve Faure of France and Mariska Kramer of Holland, enjoyed a 2.4-mile dip in the Mediterranean Sea along the French Riviera.

July 7

Star snowboarder Shaun White, 18, soared at the Panasonic Open on June 12 to win the skateboarding vert contest. Next up for the crossover star is the Right Guard Open in Denver.

July 11

Two-time winner Pam Reed, who ran a record 301 miles nonstop in April, returns to the Badwater Ultramarathon for a 135-mile haul through the California desert.

July 24

Remember when reality TV used to be worth watching? Outdoor Life Network will begin airing all past 10 seasons of Survivor, starting with the inaugural season, in which Sue (above center) urged the tribal council to vote for the snake to eat the rat.
