The Questions with Jorge Posada
Yankees Catcher
What was your welcome-to-the-big-leagues moment?
Sitting down in that Yankee Stadium dugout in September 1995. It was three o'clock and nobody was around. It was really exciting just looking out on the empty field.
What was your most embarrassing moment?
A bad day in Philadelphia at Veterans Stadium in 2001 when I had a couple [really, three] passed balls.
One thing about being a ballplayer that the public doesn't think about?
The time we spend at the field. It's a nine-hour job. I'll get here at 2:30 for a night game, and stay until, well, it all depends.
If I weren't playing baseball I'd be ... I have no idea. All I always wanted to do was play baseball.
If I were commissioner for a day, I'd ... Have a getaway day game every time you go on the road.
