NFL 2005
Their bibles are team-issued binders crammed with hundreds of meticulously designed plays. Their mission is to change their teams' fortunes in the blink of an eye. They stretch to the first-down marker on third-and-long. They make the stop on fourth-and-inches. They are PLAYMAKERS

PLAYMAKER
For Steelers wideout Hines Ward (86), the fun is just starting once he has caught the ball. What distinguishes him as an All-Pro is what he can accomplish on the run. In this 2004 game against the Eagles, Ward ran into traffic near the goal line and launched himself into the end zone. Touchdown. Every team has at least one guy like this, as you'll see in the Playmaker box that accompanies each scouting report.
