Billingy, a sophomore outside hitter at Marshall, was named Conference USA player of the year after leading the Thundering Herd to a 15-1 record. She recorded double-digit kills in every match except one and led the league with a .364 hitting percentage. She also passed the 1,000-kill mark for her career, finishing the year with 1,286.

Emma, a senior at Oakwood High, became the Lumberjacks' first state girls' golf champion when she won the individual title at the Ohio Girls Golf Championship at the Foxfire course in Lockbourne. She was also the captain and the No. 2 player on her school's boys' golf team and was chosen homecoming queen.
EAST STROUDSBURG, PA. > Football
Terwilliger, a junior quarterback at East Stroudsburg, won the Harlon Hill Trophy, considered the Heisman of Division II. He became the sixth player in NCAA history to throw for 10,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards. He led Division II with 354.3 yards per game in total offense and threw for 50 touchdowns as he took the Warriors to their first 11-win season.

NORTH HALEDON, N.J. > Basketball
Gonzalez, a senior center at Montclair State, made 11 of 17 from the floor and shot a school-record 18 for 18 from the free throw line. He became the first Red Hawk in 49 years to score 40 points in a game as his school beat New Jersey City University 89-82 and was named New Jersey Athletic Conference player of the week.

Armstrong, 31, defeated Amy Poulter 9-5 to win the Women's Division U.S. Amateur Championship, remaining undefeated throughout the three-day, double-elimination event, held in Atlanta. She took up pool in 1993 as a form of physical therapy after a life-threatening motorcycle accident.
DALLAS > Stock Car Racing
Johnny, an eighth-grader at McCulloch Intermediate School, won the 14th annual RACEceiver Legends Car Asphalt Nationals, beating 65 other pro drivers and becoming the second 14-year-old to win the race. The victory was his sixth Grand National title since he began racing go-karts at age five.
