Kelsey Simonds

Simonds, a freshman forward at Stonehill College, is averaging 11.1 points and a team-high 8.5 rebounds, including three double doubles in her first nine games for the 15-0 Skyhawks. She leads the Northeast-10 in defensive rebounds (5.93 per game) and has been named conference freshman of the week four times this season.
Wes Hostetler
STRASBURG, OHIO > Football
Hostetler, a senior defensive back and kick returner at Ohio Northern, scored touchdowns on a kickoff return, a punt return and an interception to lead Team USA (NCAA Division III All-Stars) to a 53-15 win over the Mexican All-Stars in the Aztec Bowl. He was named MVP of the game and earned a spot in the Jan. 21 Hula Bowl.
Kyle Myrick
PHILADELPHIA > Basketball
Myrick, a senior guard at Lincoln, had his third straight double double, leading the Lions to their first Tip Off the New Year tournament title and their first win over Franklin and Marshall since 1950; Myrick was the event's MVP. He leads Division III in scoring with an average of 30.5 points and was DIII News player of the month for December.
Kelsey Wilson
GORHAM, MAINE > Soccer
Kelsey, a junior center midfielder at Gorham High, scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory over Bangor, helping the Rams end the season with a 16-game winning streak and the Maine Class A girls' championship. She had a team-high 32 goals for the season and was the Maine Sunday Telegram's girls' soccer MVP.
Lauren Kracl
EUDORA, KANS. > Volleyball
Kracl, a sophomore outside hitter at Johnson County Community College, led the Cavaliers to a 35-4 record and their first National Junior College Athletic Association Division II national championship. She is an American Volleyball Coaches Association and NJCAA first team All-America and the Jayhawk Conference and tournament MVP.
Chris Collins
FAIRPORT, N.Y. > Hockey
Collins, a senior left wing at Boston College, scored the first hat trick of his college career in a 7-0 win over Massachusetts and had 12 points in six December games; he was named Hockey East player of the month. He leads the fourth-ranked, 14-4-2 Eagles with 17 goals and 29 points for the season.
