Call Waiting

After beingtackled at the goal line on a keeper in the second quarter of Super Bowl XL(inset), Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger looked for the line judge'ssignal with Seahawks linebacker D.D. Lewis. The touchdown call, which wasupheld upon review, put the Steelers up 7-3 and propelled them to a 21-10victory on Sunday in Detroit (page 52).

Gold Rush

Early in the thirdquarter running back Willie Parker outraced the Seattle defense for a 75-yardscore (inset), as Terrible Towel-- waving Steelers fans anticipated his arrivalin the Ford Field end zone. Parker's run, which surpassed Marcus Allen's74-yard dash in XVIII for the longest in Super Bowl history, gave Pittsburgh a14-3 lead.

Sack, Rattle andRoll

Casey Hampton, theSteelers' 325-pound Pro Bowl nosetackle, showed he was light on his feet aftera fourth-quarter sack (inset), one of three times Pittsburgh's defense got toSeattle quarterback Matt Hasselbeck. Although Hasselbeck passed for 273 yards,he was intercepted once and threw for only one touchdown.
