Schneider, a senior third baseman at Ohio Dominican, led the NationalAssociation of Intercollegiate Athletics with 88 hits and was tied for the leadin home runs with 19. She set 10 Panthers single-season records and was namedthe American Mideast Conference South and NAIA Region IX player of theyear.

Steven, a junior at Oak Mountain High, won the 112-pound division title at theNational High School Coaches Association's National Open in Virginia Beach. Hewas named the open's Most Outstanding Wrestler, becoming the state's firstwrestler to earn that honor at a national tournament.

DETROIT > Track and Field
Shayla, a senior at Mumford High representing the Motor City Track Club, wonthe 100-meter dash in the young women's division at the USA Youth Track andField Championships. She also won the 200 meters at the Division 1 Michiganchampionships in 23.74 (the fastest time ever by a girl in the state) and tookher second straight state 100-meter title.

Austin, a seventh-grader at Central Middle School and a lefthanded pitcher forthe Greens of the City View Little League, had 17 strikeouts and went 4 for 4at the plate in the team's 10--0 victory over the Reds to win a dual-leaguetournament. He had a 0.20 ERA and 40 home runs this season.

Molly, a senior midfielder at St. Anne's--Belfield School, scored 95 goals, aschool single-season record for boys and girls, and had a team-high 29 assists.She led the Saints to the state semifinals and was named All-State, All-Americaand central Virginia player of the year.

LEOMINSTER, MASS. > Street Hockey
Bobby, a senior at Leominster High and a forward for the U.S. junior team, wasnamed the tournament MVP after the U.S. won its first international streethockey title with a 3--2 victory over Slovakia in the fourth biannual worldjunior championships in Aosta, Italy.
