Robbie Knievel, 44, jumped his motorcycle 180 feet and landed safely lastFriday at the fifth annual Evel Knievel Days in Butte, Mont. The stunt was partof Robbie's tribute to his 67-year-old father, Evel (inset, left, with Robbie),a Butte-born daredevil whose decadelong career included a much-hyped (andfailed) attempt to rocket over the Snake River Canyon in 1974.

Overdrive
Paula Creamer of the U.S. kept her head down on the follow-through of this teeshot in the first round of the Evian Masters on July 26 in Evian, France.Creamer finished seventh in the tournament, which Australia's Karrie Webb(inset, right) won by one stroke over U.S. wunderkind Michelle Wie (inset, left) and Laura Davies.

Water Colors
The combination of refracted light and rippling water created an eerie image asMexico's synchronized swim team won the gold medal in the Central American andCaribbean Games on July 26 in Cartagena, Colombia. A day later and 5,800 milesaway, Russia's synchro duet of Anastasia Davydova and Anastassia Ermakova(inset) took their first strokes toward gold at the European SwimmingChampionships in Budapest.
