Jovicic, a juniorforward at Wisconsin-Parkside, was named Great Lakes Valley Conference Playerof the Week for two successive weeks during which he scored 10 goals and hadfour assists in five Rangers victories. He currently leads NCAA Division II inscoring per game with 12 goals and 30 points in seven matches.

Greene, 57, acarrier for the U.S. Postal Service, shot a 90 for a net score of 66 in thefinal round to win the 2006 PGA Tour Superstore World Amateur HandicapChampionship at The Dunes Golf & Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Thetournament attracted 3,829 golfers from 47 states and 24 foreign countries.

Nana Meriwether

POTOMAC, MD. >Volleyball

Meriwether, asenior middle blocker at UCLA, helped her school to victories against Colorado,Florida and Hawaii as the Bruins won the Hawaiian Airlines Classic. She had 22kills while hitting a school-record .875 against the Gators, was thetournament's most valuable player and the AVCA Division I national player ofthe week.

Josh Vogelbach

NORTH FORT MYERS,FLA. > Football

Vogelbach, asophomore quarterback at Guilford College, completed 31 passes for 338 yardsand a school-record six touchdowns in a 49--35 win over Ferrum. He followedthat victory by throwing for 403 yards and three touchdowns in a 27--11 winover Methodist that gave the Quakers their first 2--0 start since 1999.

MOUNTAIN LAKES,N.J. > Field Hockey

Chiara, a sophomoreforward at Drexel, scored seven goals and had two assists, including a hattrick in the opener, a 5--4 victory over Rutgers, to open the Dragons' seasonwith five wins and give the team their best start in school history. Chiaraleads the Colonial Athletic Association in goals and points (16) for theseason.

Katie Doswell

RICHMOND >Track and Field

Doswell, a freshmanat Duke, won the 800 meters with a time of 2:15.98 at the Caribbean ScholasticInvitational at the City of Carolina Track and Field Stadium in Puerto Rico.She was the 800-meter champion at the Nike Indoor Nationals and was named the2006 Richmond Times-Dispatch female Prep Athlete of the Year.
