DeGirolamo, afreshman middle blocker at LSU, was named Southeastern Conference freshman ofthe week and Collegiate Volleyball Update national player of the week afterleading the Tigers to wins against Tennessee and Kentucky. She had 16 kills and10 blocks against the Lady Vols for her first career double double.

LOS ANGELES >Water Polo

Delgadillo, asenior driver at USC, scored 10 goals to lead the Trojans to their secondstraight Northern California Tournament title. He scored in every game USCplayed in the event, including a three-goal contribution in the championshipgame, and was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation player of theweek.

Megan Foster

BERLIN, N.J.> Field Hockey

Foster, a seniorforward at Villanova, scored five goals in a 9--2 win over Lehigh to set theWildcats' single-game record and also their career-goals mark (now at 61). Shehas contributed at least one point in 11 of 12 games and leads the Big East inseven categories this season, including goals (19) and game-winning goals(five).

FORT WAYNE, IND.> Marathon

Aldridge, 58, washonored at the Pikes Peak Marathon in Colorado for having competed in 30 racesat the site during the last 20 years, including 10 straight "doubles"(a Saturday half-marathon followed by a Sunday marathon). In this year's PikesPeak Marathon she survived a nasty fall to win her age division (women 55-59)in 7:19:11.

Dalton Krysa

INDEPENDENCE, MO.> Football

Dalton, asophomore running back at Fort Osage High, led the Indians to a 58--48 victoryover Raytown South High to break the team's 14-home-game losing streak. Herushed for 370 yards on 31 carries, breaking a 19-year-old single-game schoolrushing record, and scored touchdowns on runs of 10, 12, 43, 65 and 80yards.

ELDORET, KENYA> Cross-country

Ng'eitch, ajunior at Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y., led the Gaels to a team victoryin his first collegiate race, at the Princeton Invitational, and was namedMetro Atlantic Athletic Conference cross- country runner of the week. His timeof 25:22.9 was nearly three seconds ahead of teammate Mathew Kiplagat'ssecond-place finish.
