After LaDainian Tomlinson roared into the end zone for his NFL-record 29th touchdown of the season on Sunday, the Chargers carried off the man who has carried them to an AFC-leading 11--2 record. Tomlinson broke Shaun Alexander's mark with a seven-yard run in the fourth quarter, his third TD in a 48--20 victory over the Broncos at Qualcomm Stadium.

Hi-ho, Hi-ho...

A crew is off to work on a prime Olympic project in Beijing last Thursday, the construction of the National Stadium. The 91,000-seat facility, known as the Bird's Nest, will be the site not only of the opening and closing ceremonies at the 2008 Summer Games but also competition in track and field and soccer.

Entrants in the 70-kg class of the Asian Games bodybuilding competition got all pumped up for the prejudging round last Friday in Doha, Qatar. Chua Ling Fung of Singapore (front, second from right) took the gold medal six hours later.
