Reddy, a freshman at Rosemont College, had 13 victories and no losses as she won the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Championship for 1 singles. She was the PAC player of the week four times during the season and was also named the conference's player of the year and rookie of the year.

OAKWOOD VILLAGE, OHIO › Soccer
Kasiguran, a junior midfielder at Messiah, was named D3Kicks.com's NCAA Division III player of the year. He led the Falcons to their third straight national title, earned his second Commonwealth Conference player of the year award and ended the season with 10 goals and four assists, for 24 points.

HOPATCONG, N.J. › Football
Joe, a senior running back at Hopatcong High, was named the state's Gatorade player of the year after finishing the season with 2,081 yards rushing and a career total of 7,589 yards for the Chiefs. He became the first player in New Jersey to gain more than 7,000 yards, and he is ranked 38th on the alltime high school rushing list.

Sally Kipyego
MARAKWET, KENYA › Cross-country
Kipyego, a sophomore at Texas Tech, was named the female athlete of the year by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. She completed an undefeated season by winning the NCAA Division I individual title and becoming the Red Raiders' first individual cross-country champion.

Julie Ruggieri
BARRINGTON, R.I. › Field Hockey
Julie, a senior midfielder at Barrington High, scored two goals to lead the undefeated Eagles to a 5--0 win over Tiverton for the Rhode Island Interscholastic League Division I championship and was named the tournament MVP. She led the league with 24 goals and 18 assists for the season.

CHANDLER, ARIZ. › Softball
Cooper, 33, a police officer, led the California Quake to a 20--18 victory over the Ohio Lawmen to win the World Series of Police Softball Championship in Cathedral City, Calif. The shortstop was named the tournament MVP after batting .706 and hitting four home runs.
