THE QUESTIONS WITH Udonis Haslem

Heat Forward

What was your welcome-to-the-NBA moment?
My first game, my rookie year in Puerto Rico, we were asked to track Allen Iverson on pick-and-rolls. There was a whistle. And I didn't even touch him. Another guy on my team fouled him, but they called the foul on me. That let me know rookies don't get any calls.

What was your most embarrassing moment?
I once had my jersey on backward in practice. The word heat was on the back.

Your favorite off-day activity?
Watching football. I live for football on Sunday; I live for Sundays. I've got the NFL package, and I try to watch everybody's game. The early games, the late games and the [night] game.

If I weren't playing basketball, I'd be...
an administrator at a local park. Play. Hang out with the kids. Have fun all day. There wouldn't be that many responsibilities.

LAST WEEK
The 6'8", 235-pound Haslem, 26, had 12 points in a win over Portland before spending the All-Star break at home in Miami with his family.

THIS WEEK
The Heat hosts the Cavs on Sunday. "U.D." had nine rebounds in each of two games against them this month.
