Mojidi, a junior at the University of Chicago, became a first-teamAll-University Athletic Association athlete in two sports. As a guard for theMaroons she led the conference in scoring (16.4 points per game). She also wonthe 55- and 200-meter races at the UAA indoor track championship.

Paola Moreno

Moreno, a junior at USC, won the 14th Annual Texas A&M "Mo" MorialInvitational, her first NCAA tournament victory. Ranked 11th in the nation,Moreno shot an even-par 216 for the three-round event, with a hole in one onthe 16th in the second round. She has a team-low scoring average of 73.43.

Jeffery Bybee

Jeffery, a junior at Illinois Valley Central High, broke his leg in a sectionalmatch but continued wrestling and won 6--4. The two-time Class A state championwent 27--2 this season and won the regional meet at 130 pounds. His careerrecord with the Grey Ghosts is 107--7.

Crooks, a fifth-year player at Saskatchewan, won her second straight Nan Coppaward as Canada's player of the year. A member of the Canadian senior nationalteam, Crooks is the alltime leading rebounder (1,181) in CanadianInteruniversity Sport and ranks third in scoring (1,999 points).

MINBURN, IOWA > Powerlifting
Rosenberger, 70, the owner of a used-car dealership, set world records in thesquat (275.58 pounds), deadlift (363.76) and total lift (815.70) in the220.25-pound weight class of the 70-and-over division at the Natural NationalsPowerlifting meet in Oklahoma City. He has since raised his deadlift record to374 pounds.

Paulie, 17, was named to the Drive for Diversity class, a driver and crewdevelopment program aimed at bringing diversity to NASCAR. (He's of Syriandescent.) The Wayne Valley High junior has won six World Karting Associationand 13 national titles.
