Boxing: Friday Night Fights
Prepare for a double dose of the Petersons. Anthony Peterson (22--0), the WBO's No. 1 lightweight contender, takes on Luis Ernesto Jose (27-4-2) in what could be Peterson's final tune-up before his first world-title shot against Juan Diaz. Big brother Lamont (above, right), currently ranked fifth as a super lightweight by the WBA, will try to climb up the rankings against Dorin Spivey (34--5).

Red Sox at Rangers
Looks like Sammy's got his groove back. After sitting out the entire 2006 season, Rangers rightfielder Sammy Sosa (right) has clubbed nine home runs this season while batting .259—his highest average since 2002. Sosa is also inching toward a rare milestone: He is just three away from becoming the fifth major leaguer to hit 600 career homers.

NCAA Lacrosse Final Four
The Duke lacrosse team has come full circle. After a 13-month circus that began with rape allegations and a canceled season in 2006 and finished last month with the accused being proclaimed innocent and charges dropped, Duke has made the Final Four for the second time in three years. Their star is Zack Greer, who leads the nation with 63 goals.

NBA Playoffs: San Antonio at Utah, Game 3:
In recent years the Spurs have dominated the Jazz. Headed into this series San Antonio had won 27 of 33 against Utah, including 16 straight at home. But the Jazz, who split the season series this year, comes into this best of seven with a recharged Andrei Kirilenko (right); after averaging career lows of 8.3 points and 4.7 rebounds in the regular season, AK-47 averaged 16.2 points and 8.8 rebounds in the conference semifinals.

Coca-Cola 600
The Nextel Cup is shaping up as a duel between two drivers: Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon, who have combined to win seven of the 11 NASCAR races this season. Gordon, a four-time Cup champion, holds a 231-point lead in the standings, but Johnson will have an advantage at Lowe's Motor Speedway, where he has won five of the last eight races.

Indy, Go Girl
As he has been doing most years since 1972, Jim Nabors will warm up fans at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway by belting out (Back Home Again in) Indiana. Then the former Gomer Pyle will cede the stage to a group of racers that features three Andrettis and, for the first time, three women. Michael and Marco Andretti are being joined this year by cousin John, who qualified last week and is competing for the first time since he left for the Nextel Cup circuit in 1994. Also qualifying was Milka Duno (above), 35, a race rookie from Venezuela who'll race against 30 men as well as Danica Patrick and Sarah Fisher.
