WHO'S Hot

Ford
That's Detroit Shock forward Cheryl, who scored 16 points and led the East to a 103-99 win in the WNBA All-Star Game. For her efforts, which included her first WNBA three-pointer, Ford earned the game's MVP award. "I surprised myself," she said. "And I know my mom was out of her seat."

Kevin Durant
After struggling with his shot early in the tournament, the No. 2 pick in the draft scored 28 in the Sonics' NBA Summer League finale. Said Durant, who on Monday signed a multiyear endorsement deal with Nike, "I wouldn't say that this was my best game, but I got better."

Chris Chandler
The former NFL QB, the only passer to start for seven different teams, has a new claim to fame. In his 15th try he won the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship in Lake Tahoe. "I play because it's fun," said Chandler, 41. "To win, it's even more fun."

Russian swingers
Team USA was bounced from the Fed Cup semifinals by Russia, thanks to a clinching doubles win by Nadia Petrova and Elena Vesnina. Russia will face Italy in the final. Said U.S. captain Zina Garrison, "Their depth is very strong."

WHO'S Not

Ford
That's actor Harrison, who's shooting the fourth Indiana Jones movie in Hawaii. He's 65, but the ultrafit Ford does his own stunts. Alas, his recovery time isn't what it once was. "He's doing them," said co-executive producer Kathleen Kennedy. "He just has a few more ice packs and a few more massages."

Phil Mickelson
Another tournament, another blown lead. This time Lefty coughed up the Scottish Open—he bogeyed the final hole of regulation and a playoff hole to hand the trophy for the British Open warmup to France's Gregory Havret. "Greg played very solid golf, and I played very erratic golf," said Mickelson.

Chris Chambers
The Dolphins' receiver, sixth on the team's all-time receptions list, has a new claim to infamy. He was charged with DWI last Saturday in Charlotte. Said a spokesman, the Dolphins are "in the process of gathering more information."

North Pole swimmer
British endurance swimmer Lewis Gordon Pugh—clad only in Speedo, cap and goggles—covered a kilometer in 28.8° North Pole waters, the coldest a human has swum in. Pugh: It was "excruciating pain from beginning to end."
