THE QUESTIONS WITH Mike Furrey

LIONS WR

What was your welcome-to-the-NFL moment?
Throwing the football at the Rams' emblem [on the stands] after I scored two touchdowns against them last year.

What was your most embarrassing moment?
I dropped a ball in 2004 [while playing for the Rams] on Monday Night Football. It was right at me.

What is your favorite off-day activity?
Spending time with my family. My daughter, Makayla, is 2 1/2, and my son, Stone Jett, is four months. I play tackle football with Makayla. She likes to tackle.

If I weren't in the NFL, I'd be ...
a contractor, building homes.

LAST WEEK
Furrey, who led the NFC with 98 receptions last year, was tutoring newly signed draft pick Calvin Johnson in Mike Martz's offense. Furrey also caught a 24-yard pass in the Lions' 27--26 preseason win over the Bengals.

THIS WEEK
Furrey and the Lions (1--0) play the Browns (1--0) in Cleveland on Saturday.
