BARRINGTON, ILL. > Volleyball
Zimmerman, a freshman setter at No. 20 Michigan, made her college debut with 64 assists and 13 digs in a five-game win over No. 10 Hawaii in the finals of the Rainbow Wahine Invitational. The former Gatorade player of the year at Barrington High was named to the all-tournament team.

Mallory Poole
CORNING, N.Y. > Lacrosse
Poole, a senior midfielder at C.W. Post, was the only Division II player selected to the U.S. Lacrosse developmental team. A three-time first-team All-America, she led the Pioneers to a national title last season, scoring four goals in the final; she was named the tournament's most outstanding player.

Ben Miller
RAVENSWOOD, W.VA. > Basketball, Track
Miller, a freshman at Kentucky, won 15 state championships at Ravenswood High: 10 titles in track, four team titles in cross-country and one in basketball. His Class AA track titles comprise three each in the 800 meters and 4 √ó 800, and two each in the 400 and 4 √ó 400.

Luke Greinke
ORLANDO > Baseball
Greinke, a junior at Auburn, was named most valuable player of the Valley Baseball League. As a utility player for the Winchester (Va.) Royals, he led the summer league in batting average (.417), on-base percentage (.517) and slugging (.642). In 53 games for the Tigers last spring he batted .314 with 36 RBIs.

Erin Rethlake
HUNTINGTON, IND. > Softball
Erin, a sixth-grader at Crestview Middle School, threw two no-hitters and five shutouts to lead the Indiana Thunder to an under-10 Amateur Softball Association Class A national title. The southpaw struck out 65 of 127 batters in the tournament and had a 0.20 ERA. Opponents batted .070 against her.

Jordon Vaughn
MCDONOUGH, GA. > Track and Field
Jordon, a freshman at Union Grove High, won the 100 meters at the USATF National Junior Olympics (11.09) in Walnut, Calif., and at the AAU National Junior Olympics (11.01) in Knoxville, Tenn., during the same week. At the AAU meet he also won the 200, in 22.35, the second-best time for a freshman this year.
