Nick, a shot-putter at Morristown High, set a freshman national indoor record with his winning throw of 61'1 1/2" at the Morris County Relays. He broke his own state freshman mark by more than 1 1/2 feet and the national record by 13 1/2 inches, and he was named USA Track and Field athlete of the week.

Shekinna, a senior forward at Morrilton High, is averaging 26 points and 15 rebounds and has scored 2,458 career points. The Tennessee signee was named a Parade All-America first-team and has been all-state three times.

Teresa, a senior midfielder at Palo Alto High, was named girls' player of the year for 2007 by Parade and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Adidas. She has 15 goals and five assists for the Vikings in 15 games this season.

WILMINGTON, ILL. > Football
Longest, a senior kicker for St. Xavier, set a NAIA record with 27 field goals this season. The first-team All-America also set school marks for field goals (five) and extra points (seven) in a game, points in a season (128) and longest field goal (55 yards); he is one of 10 kickers invited to the NFL scouting combine.

Vicky Braegelmann
ALBANY, MINN. > Volleyball
Braegelmann, a senior right-side hitter for Minnesota-Duluth, averaged 4.32 kills for the 29--2 Bulldogs, who led Division II in kills and won their fourth straight North Central Conference title. She was named national player of the year for the second time and first-team All-America for the fourth time.

Jordan Burroughs
SICKLERVILLE, N.J. > Wrestling
Burroughs, a sophomore at Nebraska, scored 12 takedowns in a 25--11 win (his ninth major decision this season) over Oklahoma State's Quinten Fuentes at 149 pounds as the No. 3 Huskers defeated the No. 2 Cowboys. Last April he placed second at the University National Championships.
