Week Ahead
SUNDAY 3/30
Bruins at Sabres
It's been 15 years since the holder of the Presidents' Trophy has missed the playoffs, but Buffalo, which had the NHL's best record last year, is in danger of missing out this year. An offensive outburst led by Jason Pominville (right)—he had nine points during a three-game stretch in which Buffalo scored 20 goals—has helped, but the Sabres were still three points out of eighth place through Sunday.

Rockets at Spurs
After winning 22 straight, the Rockets were pulled back to earth last week; they suffered two straight 20-point losses and gave up first place in the West. San Antonio is itself no stranger to streaky play. After winning 11 straight from Feb. 11 through March 6, the Spurs dropped six of their next seven games.

Goody's Cool Orange 500
For five years now, Martinsville, Va., has been Hendrick country. Hendrick Motor sports teammates Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon have won eight of the last 10 races held at the half-mile track. But 2008 has been a struggle; neither has won a race, and they've got just three top 10s between them. They're chasing points leader Kyle Busch (left), who spent the Sprint Cup Easter break—what else?— racing. He dominated the Nationwide Series Pepsi 300 at Nashville Superspeedway before a late spinout.

TUESDAY 4/1
NCAA Women's Basketball Regional Finals
If form holds, the Greensboro Regional final will feature top-ranked UConn and the only team to beat the Huskies this year: Rutgers, which won 73--71 in Piscataway on Feb. 5. (UConn won the rematch in Storrs.) If they meet again, UConn might want to pay a little more attention to Epiphanny Prince. The Scarlet Knights sophomore had 27 points in the second half of the first meeting.

WEDNESDAY 4/2
Pirates at Braves
Welcome home, Tom Glavine (left). After five seasons with the Mets, the 42-year-old southpaw returns to Atlanta, where he won 242 games, two Cy Young Awards and a World Series ring in his previous, 16-year stint with the Braves.

SI PICK OF THE WEEK
SATURDAY 3/29
Dynamo at Revolution
When last we saw these two teams, they were battling in the MLS Cup in November. (Houston won its second straight championship, 2--1.) While the Dynamo's off-season was uneventful, New England lost two of its top three scorers: Pat Noonan and Andy Dorman, who each scored seven goals last season, left to play overseas. That means forward Taylor Twellman (above) will have to carry the load, something he's used to doing. The 28-year-old scored all three of the Revs' postseason goals last year.
