Brian Cazeneuve's Medal Stand

1. OSCAR PISTORIUS, South Africa
The double-amputee sprinter (right) who runs on prosthetic legs won an arbitration case last Friday that will allow him to attempt to qualify for the Olympics. If he doesn't qualify, coaches could still name Pistorius, 21, to their 4√ó400-meter relay team.

2. MELANIE ROACH, U.S.
The 33-year-old former gymnast and mother of three qualified for her first Olympic weightlifting team last Saturday at the U.S. trials in Atlanta. The 117-pound Roach lifted 178 pounds in the snatch and 240 pounds in the clean and jerk.

3. PETER VANDERKAAY, U.S.
He broke the American record of teammate Klete Keller by winning the 400-meter freestyle in 3:43.82 at the Toyota Grand Prix swim meet in Santa Clara, Calif., last Saturday.
