Schacter, a senior at Nevada, became only the fifth boxer to win four titles at the National Collegiate Boxing Championships when he defeated Addy Pizarro of Lock Haven by decision for the 132-pound title, avenging a loss to Pizarro last November. He finished his college career with a record of 29--2.

Kirby Blackley
CINCINNATI > Track and Field
Blackley, a senior at Findlay, was second in the 100-meter hurdles (13.35) and eighth in the long jump (19' 8 3/4") at the Sea Ray Relays; her time and distance were the best in Division II this season. At the national indoor track meet she finished second in the long jump and third in the 60 hurdles.

Brittany Mack
ROUND ROCK, TEXAS > Softball
Brittany, a senior pitcher at Westwood High, struck out 39 batters in a 1--0 loss to Stony Point, giving up an unearned run in the 21st inning. This year the righthander is 18--9 with an 0.76 ERA and 338 strikeouts in 183 innings. She will play for LSU next fall.

Brandon Partin
DELAND, FLA. > Weightlifting
Brandon, a senior at DeLand High, won his second Class 2A weightlifting title. He bench-pressed 420 pounds and clean-and-jerked 305 to win the 199-pound class; last year he won at 183 pounds with a 370 bench press and a 300 clean and jerk.

A.J. Beechler
GLASSBORO, N.J. > Golf
A.J., a second-grader at Ambassador Christian Academy, was named to the Tiger Woods National Junior Team. He has won 40 age-group tournament championships in the last two years, including the U.S. Kids Golf New Jersey meet, at which he shot a championship-record 30 on the nine-hole course.

Carol Rodriguez
ANAHEIM HILLS, CALIF. > Track and Field
Rodriguez, a senior at USC, won the 400 meters in 51.39 seconds at the USC-UCLA dual meet, breaking the Trojans' school record and her own Puerto Rican national mark; it is the fastest time in NCAA track this season. She has also run the nation's fourth-fastest 200-meter time (22.84).
