Lauren Hall
CARMEL, IND. > Lacrosse
Hall, a Marist-bound graduate of Cathedral High, is the first woman born in Indiana to sign a Division I lacrosse scholarship. A midfielder, she is a two-time all-state and All-America (honorable mention in '07, first-team in '08). She led the Irish in goals (36) as a junior and goals (57) and assists (16) as a senior.
Trevor McGuinness
MERION, PA. > Squash
McGuinness, a freshman this fall at Penn, is the youngest player ever to win a U.S. National Open doubles championships, teaming with Whitten Morris for the 2008 title. He won a record 15 singles and doubles titles as a junior player and played No. 1 for the U.S. world junior team.

PEWEE VALLEY, KY. > Tennis
Quigley, a recent graduate of South Oldham High, won his fourth state singles title, the third player to do so in Kentucky and the first since 1974. He had a 66--0 record, was ranked No. 5 in his class by TennisRecruiting.net and was the state's 2007 junior player of the year.

Victoria Powell
MONTCLAIR, N.J. > Track and Field
Victoria, a fifth-grader this fall at Northeast School, won three events at the USA Track & Field youth championships: the bantam girls' 100 meters (13.50), 200 (27.35) and triathlon. (She was first in each triathlon event: the 200, high jump and shot put.) She also set a national triathlon record at the Junior Olympics.
Audrey Coon
KENAI, ALA. > Rowing
Coon, a senior this fall at Western Washington, won three medals at the U.S. Rowing Club national championships, including gold in the open lightweight eights and intermediate lightweight fours, as well as silver in the intermediate pairs. She has won two Division II varsity eights titles for the Vikings.

STERLING, VA. > Baseball
McCowat, a graduate of Dominion High, struck out 20 and hit two homers in a 7--0 win over Gar-field; the righthander had 67 strikeouts in 40.1 innings. Pitching this summer for American Legion Post 181, he led the state with a 1.00 ERA.
