Wentz, a freshman first baseman and pitcher at North Dakota State, hit .507 andhad a slugging percentage of .903, with 15 doubles, 12 homers, 67 RBIs and 66runs scored, for his American Legion team, the Bismarck Governors. At CenturyHigh he was all-state three times and threw two perfect games.

Baldwin, a senior safety at Johns Hopkins, scored three defensive touchdowns inthe Blue Jays' 34--3 victory over St. Lawrence, returning two interceptions 28and 45 yards and a fumble 32 yards; two of the scores came on consecutive playsfrom scrimmage. He also had 10 tackles and forced a fumble.

Crain, a freshman at MIT, won the U.S. Sailing youth championship in the LaserRadial division; he won the eight-race series by the wide margin of six points.He previously had four straight top three finishes in the Laser Radial statechampionships and led St. John's High to two 420-class national high schooltitles.

Tan, a junior libero at Minnesota, averaged 6.50 digs and 0.67 assists andreceived 61 of 62 serves in leading the Golden Gophers to a title in their homeinvitational; she was Big Ten defensive player of the week for the fourth timein her career. She leads the league with 5.35 digs per game.
