SUNDAY 10/26
Skate America
Many eyes will be on 2006 world champ Kimmie Meissner, 19, who's trying tobounce back after a disappointing 2008 season (seventh-place finishes at bothnationals and worlds). But the real skater to watch will be Mirai Nagasu(above) of Arcadia, Calif., who will be making her first appearance at asenior-level international competition. She's no stranger to the spotlight, though. Nagasu won gold at the U.S. championships last January at age 15—butwasn't able to compete at the worlds because she wasn't old enough.
