Leading Off
The Over-Under
One play after hurdling the Seahawks' Marcus Trufant to get to the Seattle 16-yard line, Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown carried the ball the rest of the way to the end zone for the decisive touchdown in Miami's 21--19 victory on Sunday at Dolphin Stadium (page 36).
High Risk
In his bid for extra yardage, Giants running back Brandon Jacobs was cut off by Eagles corner Asante Samuel and then fumbled the ball away on Sunday night at Lincoln Financial Field. That was about the only thing that went wrong for Jacobs, who rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns in New York's 36--31 win.
Role Switch
Alabama wide receiver Marquis Maze (4) went on the defensive last Saturday, when he tried to keep LSU cornerback Chris Hawkins from catching a pass. Maze prevented the interception, and the Crimson Tide won 27--21 in overtime at Tiger Stadium to remain unbeaten and No. 1 in the country (page 44).
