Bunny Flop
The German sled sponsored by Playboy lost its center of gravity and flipped onto its side during the first run of the men's four-man bobsled competition last Saturday at the world championships in Lake Placid, N.Y. (page 67). A U.S. four-man team took the gold medal.
Matt, Meet Mat
England's Matt Skelton, 42, went down hard last Saturday after Northern Ireland's Martin Rogan, 37, caught him with a right hand in the 11th round of their Commonwealth heavyweight title bout in Birmingham, England. Later in the round judges stopped the fight and awarded Rogan (12--0) a TKO.
Match Sticks
Tiger Woods (right) and his caddie, Steve Williams, exchanged clubs during practice at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship in Marana, Ariz., on Feb. 25. Woods, playing in his first tournament since knee surgery last June, lost to Tim Clark in the second round. Geoff Ogilvy won the event.
