THIS WEEK'S MAIN EVENT

ZURICH CLASSIC OF NEW ORLEANS

Recovery Shot

Kenny Perry said it took him three years to get over his playoff loss to Mark Brooks at the 1996 PGA Championship. Perry looked and sounded equally devastated in the wake of his Masters fade, admitting that, at 48, he may never get another chance to win a major, but we prefer to look on the bright side. Perry has been playing great golf for the last year, taking his game to new heights before, during and after his brilliant performance in last fall's Ryder Cup. We're betting that Perry will recover quickly from his Masters pain, and a strong showing at TPC Louisiana will put him on the short list of favorites for the U.S. Open in June.

Danny Lee's Pro Debut

Lee, who won the 2008 U.S. Amateur at Pinehurst No. 2 to get into the Masters, missed the cut in Augusta, then turned pro last week, signing with IMG. He'll make his play-for-pay debut in New Orleans. Lee hopes to earn enough money to become exempt without having to go through Q school in the fall. To do that, he'll have to pull down at least $852,752, the amount needed to finish in the top 125 last year. Had he been eligible for prize money in the 10 pro events he played as an amateur, Lee would've won $419,768. Below is his record in those events, along with the tour and amount he would've won.
