James White
KANSAS CITY, MO. > Track and Field
James, a junior at Grandview High, broke the 25-year-old national high school record in the high jump with a leap of 7'5 3/4" at the Winnetonka (Mo.) Invitational. That height would have been good for eighth place at the 2008 Olympic Games. Four days earlier the 5'10" White set a Kansas Relays boys' record with a jump of 7'3¼".
Leah McIntosh
WHITBY, ONT. > Softball
McIntosh, a junior righthander at Albany, has thrown four perfect games this season, and through Sunday she was 18--3 with a 1.11 ERA. A four-time America East Conference pitcher of the week in 2009, she also set a school record with her sixth career no-hitter in a 6--0 win over Hartford. McIntosh is the Great Danes' career leader in strikeouts with 597.

Jack Whitt
NORMAN, OKLA. > Track and Field
Jack, a senior at Norman North and the top-ranked high school pole vaulter in the nation, set a Texas Relays high school record of 18'¼", shattering the 11-year-old mark by 10¼". His vault was 2¾" shy of tying the national high school record. The two-time state champion will attend Oral Roberts on scholarship.

Derrick Workman
ACWORTH, GA. > Baseball
Derrick, a junior outfielder at Dominion Christian High, went 7 for 7 with six homers, one triple, nine runs and 15 RBIs over a three-game stretch. At week's end he led the Georgia Independent School Association Region 1AAA in batting average (.667), home runs (12), slugging percentage (1.526), RBIs (45) and on-base percentage (.740) for the 22--0 Knights.
Sarah Bowman
WARRENTON, VA. > Track and Field
Bowman, a senior at Tennessee, was named the outstanding women's relay athlete at the Penn Relays for her role in three of the Lady Vols' victories (4 √ó 1,500 meters, 4 √ó 800, distance medley). Her anchor time of 4:10.2 in the 4 √ó 1,500 clinched the team's world-record clocking of 17:08.34. Bowman is also the reigning NCAA indoor mile champion.
Timmy McGee
CADIZ, KY. > Powerlifting
Timmy, a senior at Trigg County High, became the first competitor in the 30-year history of Kentucky high school powerlifting to deadlift 700 pounds when he did it at the state meet. Timmy lifted a total of 1,020 pounds, setting a meet record for the 250-pound class and helping the Wildcats win their third straight team title.
