Timmy Time

U.S. goalkeeper Tim Howard long ago made his peace with leaving Manchester United, and since joining Everton in 2006, he's reestablished himself as one of the top keepers in England. "I could have stayed at Man United probably for 10 years as Number 2, made a lot of money, won a few medals," Howard, 30, told SI.com. "But that's not for me." Last month Howard stopped two penalties in a shootout win over United in the FA Cup semifinals, and on May 9 he recorded his 16th clean sheet this season, an Everton record. On May 30 Howard (below) will get a shot at '09 hardware when Everton faces Chelsea in the FA Cup final at Wembley. He could earn the second FA Cup winner's medal by an American. Howard also won the first—in '04 with United.
